Desa Cantik 2026 Strengthens Data-Driven Development in Buton Selatan

BPS-Statistics of Buton Selatan Regency, in collaboration with the Regional Government of Buton Selatan Regency, officially launched the 2026 Village Love Statistics Program (Desa Cantik) on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Batauga. This activity reflects the synergy between BPS-Statistics of Buton Selatan Regency and the regional government in promoting data-driven regional development based on accurate and reliable data.

Through the opening ceremony, socialization, and capacity-building activities, the 2026 Desa Cantik Program is focused on strengthening data-based development governance down to the village and sub-district levels. This year, the targeted locations include Lawela Village, South Lawela Village, and Kelurahan Busoa.

This program aims to ensure that village-level data become more accurate, of higher quality, well-managed, and effectively utilized for development planning and public service delivery. With a stronger culture of statistical awareness, villages and sub-districts are expected to design development programs that are more targeted, effective, and sustainable.

Collaboration among the regional government, village/sub-district administrations, and BPS-Statistics of Buton Selatan Regency is key to ensuring that the benefits of this program are truly felt by the community. Good data lead to good planning.
